After School Activities, Classes, and Events

Lego Robotics - This year our program is focused on fun and learning. Coaches describe Lego concepts, demo how to build models, and students make the models described and some of their own creative models. Robot programming is also included with some simple instructional exercises and fun programming. At PNA the Lego Robotics Program includes students in grades 2-5, and focuses on applied technology skills, cooperation, and having fun. Thanks to Mentor Graphics for sponsoring our team this year! Chess Vision - provides excellent chess instruction and play for all abilities and has ongoing enrollment.   The Chess Vision program provides a safe learning environment, formal instruction, individual feedback and over-the-board practice. The club meets after school on Fridays from 3:00–4:45  Contact Tony Hann at 503-880-0581 with questions or download the sign up form here.

Cooking Classes - Milk&Honey is collaborating with P.N.A. to offer cooking classes for the students. They will cover basic kitchen skills, safety and sanitation to start. Then would move into specific knowledge based programs like, homemade pasta, vinaigrettes, or speciality sandwich making. Some classes will be free, others will have costs associated with them. Notification will be made for Parent approval if one is planned. Requests have been voiced for cooking classes for the adults as well, with more advanced preparations and meals being taught. This is something Chef David Cutler will undertake for an individual or group. If interested contact David directly at 503-409-6884.

Drama - Drama lasts from January to April and is available for kids in grades two through six. For more information, please contact Miss Schram.
