Mr. Dean Carpenter
Technology/Physical Education
Dean fills two important positions at PNA. He teaches Technology and Physical Education to all grades. He received his teaching credential from Warner Pacific College in Physical Education. He has taught and coached in the North Clackamas school district in a number of capacities. Before coming to PNA he taught temporary assignments at Clackamas High School in health, physical education and leadership. While teaching at Clackamas, he also completed a Master’s of Science in Teaching, specializing in Social Sciences at Portland State University. He is excited about heading the technology lab this year and helping students integrate technology into all of their core classroom subjects.
Dean has spent many years working with youth as a soccer and track coach. He was the jump coach at Clackamas High School for 13 years and spent 7 years at Rex Putnam High School as the head of the girls’ soccer program. Currently he coaches with the Lake Oswego Soccer Club as well as with the boys’ program at Wilsonville High School. He also directs Ministry through Soccer, a Christian outreach offering summer camps for youth players.
